The Original Bogner Family

Ed is the son of Ralph and Kay Bogner. Ralph and his brother, John, owned and operated Bogner Sheet Metal in Santa Cruz, three apricot orchards in the San Juaquin Valley and several rental properties in the Santa Cruz area for many years.

In 1969 they decided to sell the sheet metal business due to John’s health. Ed was only in junior high school at the time and had no idea that he would be interested in the sheet metal or heating and air conditioning trade. During high school and thereafter Ed started learning the trade and business practices from his father, Ralph, and from others in the construction trades. He also attended night classes.

In 1981 Ed realized that he had a passion for the trade, had inherited the ability to work well with his hands and had a business plan/dream for the future. In February 1982, he opened Ed Bogner Mechanical on Freedom Boulevard in Freedom, CA.

Since opening, Ed Bogner Mechanical Inc has gained the reputation for high quality workmanship at a fair price. The business has flourished for 30 years due to the strict code of integrity, honesty, quality, repeat customers and referrals.

However, the Company could not have been so successful if it were not for the staff that has come on board as the Company has grown and developed over the years. Each and every member of our crew has special mechanical talents, abilities, attitudes and outstanding morals. Most of our team has been with us for over 25 years.
